On Wednesday, April 3rd at 6:00 PM, University Scholar Tyler Hall will be giving a presentation at the Open Classroom Lecture Series regarding the Fossil Fuel Divestment Movement. This movement is the largest mobilization of students for an environmental cause in history, with campaigns underway at over 250 campuses nationwide.
The class organizers have never before allowed a student to give a presentation, so we are looking for students to attend and demonstrate that students are interested in hearing what their peers have to say.
The topic of the Open Classroom this semester is “Climate Change. Challenges. Solutions.” So far they have brought in a host of distinguished speakers covering topics such as Energy Efficiency, National Security, and Renewable Energy.
