University Scholars Kristen Brown COS'18 and Christine Boutros COS'18 have received an Undergraduate Research Grant from Nu Rho Psi, the National Honor Society in Neuroscience, to support their summer research. Brown and Boutros, both behavioral neuroscience majors, are undertaking a study of the cross-effects of marijuana and alcohol consumption in mice, under the mentorship of Professor Greg Miller of Northeastern's Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Center for Drug Discovery. Their work will also be supported by a Scholars Independent Research Fellowship. As University Scholars, Brown and Boutros are also members of the Honors Program.
Nu Rho Psi Undergraduate Research Grants support high quality research projects conducted by undergraduate student members of Nu Rho Psi. They are an example of the diverse types of financial support available for undergraduate research.
