Nick DePorzio, a first-year Physics Major, took home the Husky Challenge Demo Day Prize for his KrystalBoard project. Inspired by his work in the laboratory of Professor Swastik Kar, DePorzio developed a low-cost liquid crystal writing board. DePorzio, who is now investigating how to move forward with his project with the help of Northeastern's Entrepreneurs Club, hopes that his product will be utilized in classrooms everywhere, replacing both white and chalkboards.
Nice is the second University Scholar to win the Husky Challenge. Congratulations, Nick!
