The Institute will be held over three weeks (July 24- August 11, 2017) at the Humanities Center at Northeastern University in Boston. The institute will be comprised of lectures, seminars focused on readings, workshops addressed to specific issues such as the construction of syllabi and research projects/papers, field trips to Boston venues, such as the Boston Public Library map collection, a workshop and guided walks, including with a creative artist, and presentations by guest faculty.
There will be allocated times and spaces at which directors and guest lecturers will be present and available for consultation either individually or in group contexts. In addition to the formal activities, we will program optional events on some evenings and weekends including museum visits and urban walks.
