Northeastern University provides students with learning disabilities and ADHD with the opportunity for a comprehensive level of academic support through the fee-based Learning Disabilities Program. Each year, some students who would benefit from the additional services of the Learning Disabilities Program miss out on this resource because of financial need.
The LDP offers a limited number of scholarships to eligible students through the Brian Evans LDP Assistance Fund and the LDP Endowed Fund. Students will be selected by the Director of the LDP and determined to be eligible for assistance through the Office of Student Financial Services and the Senior Vice President for Enrollment and Student Life.
Brian Evans Learning Disabilities Assistance Fund
Brian Evans, a student in the LDP, lost his life in an unfortunate accident in September of 2006. To honor his memory, his family established The Brian Evans Learning Disabilities Program Assistance Fund, which provides scholarships to approximately three to five students each year. Students are selected by the Director of the Learning Disabilities Program and determined to be eligible for assistance through the Office of Student Financial Services and the Senior Vice President for Enrollment and Student Life.
To remember Brian and to assist students who face challenges that can be a part of being a college student with a learning disability or attention deficit disorder, we ask that you consider making a gift to the Fund. Your generosity will make it possible for the deserving students who apply for this help each year to participate in the LDP.
