What does your organization look for in co-op students?
We focus on finding a co-op student that is flexible; someone who is able to turn on a dime. The International Institute needs employees with great attitudes – you don’t necessarily need to come on with us with a complete skill set, but positive outlook will carry you through the work-experience.
What can co-op students expect to do while working for your organization?
I try to give interns a holistic experience; I don’t want to pigeonhole them in a specific position. Coops have a close working relationship with the entire staff to coach them along throughout the semester.
