Abstract
My project involves creating microtube devices from scratch, and preparing them to be used as a collection apparatus for stem cells. Each device is carefully prepared by flowing small amounts of different solutions through the tubes. Once the devices have been prepared the samples, stem cells, are collected. The collected cells are placed within a medium and run through the devices to isolate the stem cells. The device then places the stem cells within a medium and they are left to culture for a few days. With successful cultures different drugs and diseases may be monitored on an intestinal tract which will allow for better results and diagnostics.
