Biography
I was born and raised in Carle Place, NY, a small town on Long Island about 20 miles from Manhattan. I am a senior electrical engineering major, with a minor in biomedical engineering. I have interests in both engineering and medicine, and plan to pursue a path that allows me to integrate the two.
I have co-oped with Boston Scientific (Marlborough, MA) in their Oncology R&D department helping to design and test medical devices that ablate malignant tumors using applied radiofrequency energy. My most recent co-op with St. Jude Medical (Sunnyvale, CA) had me working in the treatment of atrial fibrillation using High-Intesity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU).
I am performing research for IGERT alongside Professor Nian Sun and several graduate students.
