Biography
Codi Amir Gharagouzloo received a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Nuclear Engineering and a BS in Physics with a French minor after four years of study at Kansas State University. Following his undergraduate studies he received an MSc in Bio-Photonics from l’Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) de Cachan in France.
Codi has been involved in research since early in his undergraduate career including collaboration with the Max Planck Institute in Germany for condensed matter physics and an NSF funded research/study program at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) in Zürich for particle physics. His master’s research was performed at the ENS de Cachan in non-linear optics – exploiting the Pockel’s Effect for measuring transmembrane potential in living cells.
Apart from his studies, Codi has consistently worked as a tutor in physics, calculus and English as a second language. He is married and has a cute little baby boy.
