The Student Affairs Committee is the heart of graduate student life at Northeastern University, dedicated to shaping a supportive and enriching environment that goes beyond the classroom.

The Student Affairs Committee is the bridge between the Graduate Student Government and the Division of Student Affairs, ensuring that graduate students’ voices are heard, and their needs are met across various facets of university life. From addressing concerns related to student conduct and diversity to supporting student organizations and enhancing campus services, this committee is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive graduate community.

1. Empowering Student Groups and Recognition Process
    • Assist both new and existing student groups in the recognition process, providing guidance and resources to streamline the process and ensure their success.

2. Prioritizing Mental Health Wellness
    • Organize regular mental health wellness sessions and events catered specifically to the needs of graduate students.
    • Collaborate with counselling services and mental health professionals to provide resources, support, and education on mental well-being.

3. Enhancing Student Life
    • Encourage senators to propose projects that enhance the well-being and sense of belonging among graduate students.
