Northeastern’s PFAS Project Lab’s methodology for presumptive contamination sites was used by a team of European investigative journalists, headed by Le Monde, to prepare a European map of known and presumptive PFAS contamination sites. The article, “Forever pollution: Explore the map of Europe’s PFAS contamination” is written by Gary Dagorn , Raphaëlle Aubert , Stéphane Horel , Luc Martinon and Thomas Steffen. The article highlights the first map to illustrate the widespread contamination of Europe by toxic and persistent substances.
