SSEHRI PhD student Elicia Cousins received the 2016 Jeanne X. Kasperson Student Paper Award. This award is presented by the Hazards, Risks, and Disasters specialty group of the Association of American Geographers. Elicia won for her paper entitled “Temporary Refuge from Invisible Threats: Outdoor Evacuation Retreats for Children from Fukashima, Japan”, which she will present at the AAG Annual Meeting in April 2017.
