Join us as Northeastern alumni, Aubry Shackelford talks about his company Pegasus Therapeutics and their quest to provide better options to pediatric patients with Kawasaki disease. Learn about the different steps involved in making and running a company and the constant growth and development of the medical device industry. They will focus on their collaborative effort to launch Pegasus Therapeutics, a company developing a Class III implantable medical device to treat coronary artery aneurysms in patients affected by Kawasaki Disease, the leading cause of acquired heart disease in children today. With a mix of old and new, they will provide a glimpse into the not-so-glamorous side of launching and running a business, but will also speak about how new technologies are being used to continually disrupt and improve the standard of care for medical therapies. As always, food shall be provided.
