Kendra Rumbika is a graduate student in the Masters of Science program in Biotechnology in the College of Science at Northeastern University. She received her B.A. in Neuroscience and Biology from Boston University and then spent two years researching traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder at Veteran’s Affair Hospital in West Roxbury. Kendra plans plans to utilize her degree to build a career in biomedical/biotechnology research to develop a better understanding and treat neurodegenerative disease and other brain-related disorders by helping both our local and global communities. While at Boston University, she was involved in the Boston Special Olympics and represented her college to prospective students as a Dean’s host. At Northeastern, she hopes to aid the university community through being a mentor as well as giving back to the greater Boston community.
