Why I Belong in CS – DEIAB Speaker Series

February 2, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Khoury College of Computer Science invites you to join us for the launch of the DEIAB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging) Speaker Series, highlighting this year’s theme “Why I Belong in Computer Science” moderated by Keith Bagley, Associate Clinical Professor and Director – Align Boston. During this discussion, we will hear from our own faculty leaders who will share their stories surrounding this year’s theme. Our panelists will reflect on their identities through their work and how they have cultivated a sense of belonging in computer science. They will also share their personal and professional challenges and how they overcame them while exploring ways to empower each of us to continue to work towards a more inclusive and equitable environment within Khoury College and in industry.

Panelists include:

  • Alexandra To, Assistant Professor
  • Ricardo Baeza-Yates, Professor of the Practice
  • Michael Running Wolf, Clinical Instructor
