Northeastern African Student Organization (NASO) Presents: UBUNTU Africa Night

This year NU’s notable and traditional Africa Night will be a celebration of the motherland. From showcases of exquisite traditional and modern clothing from all regions in the continent to Spoken Word artists that inspire the audience to reflect on their connection to Africa. Africa Night 2018 will be addressing the negative stereotypes that are often associated with its name and turning that negative light into a positive beam. It will be a space for the NU community and collective Boston college audience to come together and laugh, dance, cry and spark new conversations filled with curiosity. When one leaves Africa Night 2018, we want them to leave enlightened and empowered. We want to show the New England area that our continent and homeland, that is a mother to millions, is often misrepresented and mistaken for what she is. Africa Night 2018 is a perfect platform for local and NU students to express their talents, crafts, and passions.
