Tess won travel awards to the 2017 International Conference on Mobile Brain-Body Imaging and the Neuroscience of Art, Innovation and Creativity in Valencia, Spain! One was from the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities and one through the University of Houston NSF award IIS-1745835!
Valencia is home to the City of Arts and Sciences made up of several buildings designed by Santiago Calatrava that brings art and science together in one complex.
Our high schoolers Hannah and Christy completed their 6 week lab experience with Tess in the Young Scholar’s Program through the Northeastern Center for STEM Education! They presented their research “Evaluating the Impact of Light on the Growth of Opsin-Transduced Superior Cervical Ganglia” which won Best Poster!
