NU Spotlight: The Disability Resource Cetner

Northeastern University and the DRC are committed to providing services that will enable students who qualify under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans With Disabilities Act to participate fully in the activities of the University. Students must submit acceptable documentation to the DRC and meet with a DRC counselor to activate services.

Students and parents often assume that the services received in high school are continued at the university level or that support services are put in place automatically. However, different laws apply at the university level and the services may also be different. Students must contact the DRC to determine appropriate accommodations and formally open a file.

For more information about the DRC, please visit their website or contact Ruth Bork, Director.
