AASIA Mentoring Program

2010-2011 Program Information

AASIA, Asian American Students in Action is a peer mentoring program coordinated by the Asian American Center at Northeastern University. This program seeks to provide incoming Asian American students with immediate support and community. Incoming students are paired up with a returning student who serves as a mentor. Mentors can play many different roles in a mentees life - they are there to answer questions about life at Northeastern, they are there to listen, they are there to help the mentees make the most of their college experiences. Participants are also a part of a larger community other mentors and mentees. This mentoring program is specifically designed for Asian American undergraduate day students who were born in the United States or were born abroad but have grown up or attended school for the majority of the time in the United States.
